A truly beautiful luxury hilltop chateau to rent in South West France with spectacular views of a 13th century castle at the other end of the ancient bastide village of Najac. It has a large heated saltwater pool and pool house, five bedrooms and three bathrooms. The area is blissfully rural with plenty of outdoor activities including riding and kayaking on the magnificent Aveyron. The chateau sits in splendid isolation but it is only ten minutes walk to the pretty village with its boulangerie, epicerie and restaurants. Najac is easy to get to, but incredibly rural - truly La France Profonde. The house itself has grand proportions but is not ridiculously big. It was renovated last year and has extremely comfortable beds and furniture.
The area is the Cathar region of France so there are plenty of historic sites to visit if you feel like it, or just enjoy the amazing views from the house and pool.
