The space

Lazy Jacks is immediately adjacent to National Forest land, and just yards from the green on the High Valley Country Club golf course. We are 10 miles from the entrance to Mt. Rainier National Park.

There are two bedrooms downstairs and each have a queen sized bed. A bathroom with a shower is located on the main floor. Upstairs in the master suite there is cal-king and two twin beds in the form of a day bed with a trundle. A full bath is located in the master.

Our kitchen is fully loaded: Appliances, pots, pans, utensils, coffeemakers (drip, french press AND a Keurig). We also have an ELECTRIC grill on the deck. We prefer gas but would hate to have propane run out on guests especially when it comes to food. Additionally, on the deck we have a propane fire pit.

In the winter, you are welcome to use our electric faux wood stove for ambiance 

During Your Stay

We want you to enjoy your stay first and foremost. We do not want you to feel like you are being smothered with hospitality. However, if you need anything or have questions we will respond almost immediately. We will make sure you have everything you need and hopefully a tiny bit more to enjoy your time at Lazy Jacks.

Other things to note

We love sharing our sweet cabin with awesome people, and we really want you to have a great, laidback getaway in our cabin. Therefore it is essential that you and every adult in your party reads, accepts, enforces and abides by these house rules. Pretty much all about safety and respect.

BASIC HOUSE RULES

Throwing a party at Lazy Jacks is just not an option. If you’re trying to relive your college days this is not the place for you. It’s counterintuitive to the whole lazy relaxed vibe, and it’s the surest way to get evicted, annoy our neighbors (we really like our neighbors), and FORFEIT your deposit. If you throw a party it’ll be a bummer for everyone and again, its contradictory to the whole lazy chill atmosphere we love about our cabin.

Check-in time is 4:00. Check-out time is 11am. This is absolutely necessary and no exceptions can be made due to the time it takes to clean Lazy Jacks before the next guests come.

WE ARE ON SEPTIC! SO flushing ANYTHING but #1, #2 or small amounts of toilet paper (we even buy special tp for septic) is the easiest way to forfeit your deposit and stink up your stay with us. YUCK.

Just to clarify, you can ONLY flush #1, #2, and small amounts of toilet paper.
You CANNOT flush a giant wad of toilet paper, baby wipes, flushable wipes (seriously NO) paper towels, facial cleansing wipes, TAMPONS, panty lines or giant pads, diapers, flushable diaper inserts, etc.

Using the hot tub involves risks and responsibilities that you should be aware of and take seriously. Please read the terms and conditions below.

Small children are never allowed in the hot tub alone or unsupervised. (Ideally, they will be within arm’s reach of an adult at all times)

The Washington Department of Natural Resources restricts burning fires in the summer to prevent wildfires which is why no burning is allowed anywhere at Lazy Jacks.

Loud music is not allowed anywhere outside, therefore the hot tub music system should not be heard from 8 feet away (don’t worry, the hot tub is basically a giant subwoofer full of water so it will be nice and loud in the tub). YAY!

If you are staying at Lazy Jacks you probably love the outdoors and respect the life and beauty of the forest. We just want to remind you to be considerate of the delicate ecosystem and precious wildlife around you. As romantic as it would be, please no carving your lovers initials into the trees, save the tree climbing to the professional arborists, no selfies with the wildlife, take care of your trash and simply enjoy the beauty around you.

As the registered guest, you are required to share this information with the others in your party and take responsibility for any damage(s) they might cause during your stay.

THINGS TO KNOW

The land at the end of the cul-de-sac is National Forest as is the land behind the street above us. Amazing and dangerous wildlife including deer, elk, cougars, bears, bobcats, coyotes and even porcupines have been seen near Lazy Jacks. There is also a creek and waterfall .3 miles into the park adjacent to the back of the house. Supervise your children like their lives depend on it.

We have a security camera mounted to the front of the house, facing the driveway. You will be recorded as you come and go. This is a security measure to make sure no unscheduled guests are using the hot tub, etc and to monitor check-out for cleaning purposes.

By booking Lazy Jacks, you are entering into a contract with Pacific North Weiss, LLC to provide lodging and associated support services during your stay. Any controversy, dispute or claim arising out of or relating to this contract, or a breach thereof, shall be addressed exclusively with Pacific North Weiss, LLC.

Our nightly rates are firm and non-negotiable. The applicable rate varies by date and season. You can find the applicable rates by clicking on calendar dates.

We cannot host events of any kind, of any duration, no matter the guest count. This includes weddings and receptions.

Your booking is non-transferable, and no right to sublease is allowed or implied. The guest of record must be present at check-in and check-out.

HOT TUB, STAIRS and TRUNDLE BED WAIVER

(As required by the insurance company and by booking with us, you agree to these terms and conditions.)

Only guests declared with this VRBO booking may use the hot tub, stairs and trundle bed. Property is under 24/7 surveillance per a single camera located above the front door and pointed toward the driveway.

In consideration for the utilization of the hot tub, stairs and trundle bed, I understand and agree to the following:

1. I am responsible for checking water quality prior to use. Test strips are provided and can be used if necessary.

2. I understand that by using the hot tub, I am assuming financial responsibility for all usage, breakage, and/or abuse of the equipment. This could include any/all fees for extraordinary maintenance and/or repair incurred by the owner in order to restore the hot tub, including heater and pump, after my stay.

3. I understand that the owner reserves the right to change or cancel the continued availability of the hot tub without prior notice for issues related to care, maintenance, and/or safety. No lease, license or bailment is created by my use of the hot tub.

4. The owner is not liable for any loss or damage to my property arising out of my usage of the hot tub, stairs or trundle bed(s).

5. I agree to refrain from using equipment that I determine to be defective or in need maintenance or repair. Should any equipment be in a state of disrepair, I will alert owner in lieu of using said equipment.

6. I understand that a risk of injury and/or illness is present when engaging in or utilizing a hot tub, loft ladder or bunk bed(s), and I assume all responsibilities and risk of participation in this activity. I understand that failure to follow listed policies may increase those risks and incur charges to my CC on file related to any breakage, abuse of equipment, and/or abuse and negligence of the policies given and signed upon check-in.

7. In consideration of the acceptance of my agreement, I intend to be legally bound for myself, my heirs, executors and administrators and do hereby release any and all sponsors of this facility and their representatives, successors and assigns from any and all liability arising from injuries, including illness and death, that I may suffer as a result of my usage of the hot tub, stairs or trundle bed(s).

8. I HAVE CAREFULLY READ THIS AGREEMENT, RELEASE & WAIVER LIABILITY, AND I KNOW ITS CONTENTS. I HAVE VOLUNTARILY ACCEPTED IT AS PART OF MY ACCEPTANCE OF THE HOUSE RULES AS MY OWN FREE ACT.
