Summary: I would never stay in this hotel again. 1) When you arrive at Hotel Kolbergarten, it looks like it is closed -- no lights on, no signs of life. 2) After you wander around for a few minutes, you find a small sign that says you have to check in for your hotel at a different hotel. 3) Once you figure out where this other hotel is and how to get there, you have to deal with them taking (and keeping) all sorts of unnecessary personal information.... after waiting 20 minutes to be helped. 4) Once you pay your "tourist tax", you have to make your way back to the dark hotel. 5) ... that is unless you have to park a car, which requires you to find and park in a public lot. 6) When you checkout, the staff are overwhelmed, which means you again have to wait for 20 minutes to be helped or you just leave a key at the front desk and hope for the best.
On the plus side, the breakfast was good... but it too is in the other hotel.

Summary: This hotel would have been a grand experience a few years ago -- she is a little tired now but still lovely. Not realising that the hotel is in one building and reception and breakfast was in another was a bit confusing - but we had the help of some other guests to help us find it!

Summary: We used this for a transit between Milan and Munich but would stay longer on a future trip. Lovely hotel in a charming town in picturesque rural Bavaria. Would be a great base for walking in woods or mountains.
